Art

The view from Centre Pompidou

Every day, I feel an absolute necessity to create. As a consumer of ideas, I am inspired by artistic creations constantly. As an artist, I take as much inspiration from my medium as I do the artistic intention. My love for oil paint and palette knives is equalled feverishly by my love for Photoshop and Wacom tablets. I also love photography — but not in the journalistic/documentry sense of the word — I simply love any photograph that evokes thought.

Whilst professionally I solve problems; when it comes to art - I love creating problems. Art is about creating the unsolvable, the dilemma, the conundrum and the paradox. Art, to me, is about exploring — but never trying to answer — the unanswerable questions of life. By creating a piece of art that creates a problem, I solve the problem of needing to create a piece of art that creates, rather than solves, a problem.

As I find the time, I will post some of my art here.
